Forget ending poverty with a t-shirt…. end rampant Drag and Drop Development! Be somebody, get your DADD ( Developers against Drag and Drop ) t-shirt printed ( or ironed on if you’re on a budget )
So this weekend finds me in Calgary for the first Canadian ALT.NET conference with some excellent company, new friends yet unnamed and best of all it’s not without some controversy. While people are wearing shirts echewing Drag-and-drop, there is a topic asking whats so evil about it? That sounds like it may be a good debate so there’s no doubt I’ll be in that rooom! The other topics are topical and typical but oh so interesting, I’m eager to hear the discussions tomorrow and I even suprised myself by offering a topic on Mobile apps. We’ll see how that goes! Nobody has posted a picture of the topics yet but I’m sure it will be online once people get back to their rooms.
I’m glad to see that despite the absence of some alt.net martyrs and icons, there are a good number of people interested in this and they’re from across Canada which is a good thing, it’s going to be a fun weekend. I’ll have to find out where I can get a shirt….
